Climate for Learning

Our new Home Group program introduced students to the Community Project,  a project that encourages teams of students to collaborate on improving the outcomes for an identified community group. A range of projects have been successfully completed, including collecting blankets for the Lost Dogs Home and stalls at the Twilight Market (second-hand clothes, plants, home-made goods, painting, and more) with all proceeds donated to a charity.

One recent community project was to improve the appearance of the girls toilets at school to foster pride in our facilities. A group of creative and skilled Year 8 students painted the A Block girls toilets last week. The results are spectacular with the tired toilet walls now looking bright, clean and welcoming.

Thank you to Lucy Greene, Matilda Isaac, Evie Johnson,  Alarice Kamil, Shanae Lally,  Angelique Neskakis, Holly Nilsson, Ellie Sbeghen and Ella Szymanski - who collaborated on this project.  Through their work, they have demonstrated such great respect and consideration for our community!
