Army Visit

Written by Mr Jackson & Hey students

On Wednesday, July 26th, members of the Australian Defence Force, serving in the Navy and Airforce, visited our year 9-10 students to speak about a wide range of career opportunities. Our students had so many questions prepared that time expired before all could be answered, but many valuable insights into the Department of Defence were gained.

"The Australian Defence Force came and it was educational and cool to learn about their lifestyle and their benefits." - Josiah Deroon

"I liked to hear about what professions you can do there." - Andrew Foley

"They were friendly, loved their jobs and were really happy to answer our questions!" - Anabelle Hawcroft

"There were very good questions that people asked that no one had asked before and it made me really interested in looking to go into the ADF." - Chenoa Hunter

"It was very interesting to learn about careers and what you can learn in the Defence Force." - Asher Kelleher
