Book Week Dress Up

Parents and friends are invited to join us for the annual book week dress up parade from 8:50 am at school this Wednesday, August 23.

Students have been sharing their costume ideas with us for weeks now.  We can't wait to see the final outcome.  Students have been encouraged to find a great book with a great character and then let that character be the inspiration for a fun and creative costume.  It doesn't need to be elaborate and it certainly doesn't need to be expensive.  Sometimes the simpler the costume is the more effective it is.  The intention is to celebrate the wonder of books and encourage students to read more, to grow their view of the world, their imagination, and their vocabulary, and to inspire them to be all that they can be.
