Girls District Football.

Wedge Park:

The girls footy team worked extremely hard in Division Football. We played against 3 really hard teams. Our goal kickers for the first game were Jaeda Bullen, Morgan Frappa, Maisy Magill and Mishayla Butcher. We all tried to do an amazing job and impress Tamara and our coach Luke Wenczel. At the end of the game we all did it and we scored 40 - 7 with an incredible effort.  We won the first round.

Arnold's Creek:

On the second round of footy we versed Arnold's Creek Primary School. All the girls supported each other through all the ups and downs in the second round. All the girls did an excellent job in running, marking and kicking. Even the other team had amazing kicks and at the end of the round we all were supportive of each other. The round ended up as 64 - 0. We did our best the whole time in the round.

Bacchus Marsh Grammar:

This team was the hardest to face, but in the end we had a successsful result!

Confirmation

On Sunday, the Year Six children celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation.  The ceremony was held at Holy Cross and was celebrated by Bishop Terry Curtin and Fr Denis Stanley. All of the children participated in the Mass reverently and made their teachers and families proud.  Our newly formed school choir of Year Four girls sang beautifully and added to the lovely atmosphere. Thanks to the teachers who prepared the children for their Confirmation and for supporting the children on the day.

Year 3/4s Explore Significant Sites in Gisborne

Our Year 3 and 4 cohort had an enriching history and faith excursion, exploring significant sites in Gisborne and the Macedon Ranges. From Jackson's Creek and the Historical Society to the Doonies display, St. Brigid's Church and St. Patrick's in Macedon, the children immersed themselves in the region's heritage.

Throughout the day, the children made connections to the past, reflecting on the historical significance of each location. They also pondered the potential changes that may shape Gisborne and the Macedon Ranges in the future, considering evolving community needs and values.

 SSV State Cross Country

More than 1500 Victorian students converged on the picturesque Yarra Valley Racecourse for the running of the State Cross Country Championships with 25 events.

It’s a monumental effort for students to qualify for the Cross-Country State Championships with primary and secondary students progressing through 3 and 2 stages respectively to qualify.

An incredibly exciting day, congratulations to Adrian, Isabella, Xavier for their outstanding performance and thank you to their families for their support to get them to the event.

100 Days of Teaching!

Our four graduate teachers celebrated their first 100 days of teaching this week.

Congratulations to Cailin, Louise, Kate M and Pat on this milestone in their teaching career.

We took this opportunity not only to mark the occasion but also to express our gratitude for the impact they have had on the children under their care.

As they continue to grow in their roles, we are excited to witness the positive influence they will undoubtedly have on the children.

Congratulations and here's to a future filled with continued success and achievements!
