State Cross Country
Kieren H.F. competed on Saturday Teams and Individual 1500 m at Lake dewar in Ballarat. Athletics Track at Albert Park. He competed strongly and finished 38 out of 80 students. He was proud of his run and achievement. At the start line Kieren got jostled to the back and had to fight to get up near the front by passing lots of students. This cost Kieren time and without the jostling he definitely would have been closer to the podium. The ringwood Athletics Club came 6th overall. We couldn't be prouder of Kieren and his fantastic sportsmanship and achievements .
Sibling enrolments for Foundation 2024
Does your child at Marlborough have a younger sibling due to start in Foundation next year? If so, it is now time to enrol. Please contact the Office to collect a Foundation 2024 Enrolment Pack or you can print out the attached enrolment form and return to the office as soon as possible.
It is important to follow the state wide timeline to enrol your child in Foundation. Enrolling your child in line with the timelines allows us to plan our classrooms, staffing and transition activities and ensures your child has the best start to school. There is detailed information about the enrolment process under the section in the newsletter "Foundation Enrolments 2024".
If you have any questions about our Kinder Transition Program or questions about starting Foundation classes, please contact me.

Parent/Guardian Opinion Survey
WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!
Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
A random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents / caregivers / guardians has been selected to participate in this year’s survey.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
Please speak to your child’s teacher if you would like more information.
