I introduce two wonderful women, who without, the school wouldn't run.

I'm sure you all have met Jeanette, fielding  questions from hurried students, hassled parents, lost CRTS,  and eager trades people.....each and every morning and afternoon around bell time. I look at her in awe and wonder how she does it.  Her eloquent use of concise English, 'yes' and 'no', full sentences and her deep knowledge of what's happening at the school-that's how!  Thank you Jeanette for all you do; your dedication is palpable.

And if you focus your eyes for a moment a little further down into the office from Jeanette, you will see Vicky, working away at the computer over all things accounts and finances. It is impressive,  in such a short period of time, she has become at one with the school and the department of education  rules and regulations (no small feat) . VIcky is an important asset to the school. Thank you Vicky.

Hello, my name is Jeanette Davies.

I have been at Malvern Primary for over 25 years working in the school office, doing a job I greatly enjoy. I started working at MPS after my youngest child started school. My previous job was in banking.

I am a proud mum of two amazing men, and grandma to two beautiful granddaughters. They are my world and I have lots of photos of them- just ask me!!

The part of my job I love the most is the interaction it allows me with the children and our wonderful school community.

What a pleasure it is to experience our newest students excitedly bringing in their school enrolment forms ready to start their school life in Prep, to seeing them graduate at the end of Year 6 as confident young people.

My job allows me to share many interesting school moments. From our current Preps bringing their good work or stories to show our Principal, to our older students demonstrating their developing student voice with their amazing ideas for lunch time clubs, committees and community events (like our 100k club). Their enthusiasm and passion is wonderful to see.

I have the pleasure of welcoming hundreds of new families to our wonderful school. I hope I make our school office a welcoming and inviting space for all.

I have many links to MPS, with one being my great uncle who worked on, and built the monument to the soldiers who went to war which is in our Junior Hall.  The monument was built locally. The wood yard is now long gone, with housing now standing in its place on Dandenong Road.

I feel so lucky to work alongside such amazing, fantastic and friendly staff who are all so passionate about education, and the wonderful students and families who are part of Malvern Primary School.

My door is always open, so please come and say hello if you are passing.  You are always welcome-especially if you bring chocolate!!

Jeanette

Hi! For those parents who have no clue with my Chinese name - Jiangmin, I am Vicky. Happy for you to call me either of my names. In a nutshell, I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. I have worked for multiple schools in the past 5 years prior to my appointment at Malvern Primary School. Apart from my education experience, I have  worked in the commercial sector as an accountant in a local firm and Finance Analysis in Ford Australia, until I found my dream job. I feel privileged to be a part of the MPS Admin team as I have heard many of your achievements and am enthusiastic to embrace the change and challenges.

After work, I am mother of  a two and half year old girl and her name is Amelia,  we love to call her Millie. If you catch me at MPS or any park close to Hawthorn (Central Gardens) please say hello to me, as Millie love to exploring and enjoying outdoor activities.

My role in MPS is mainly to oversee the financial management and viability of the school, and ensure compliance in accordance with the Department of Education. I also support families experiencing financial difficulty in paying for school related expenses and manage the hire of MPS facilities. As a Business Manager, I always believe in supporting parents and students by showing concern for their welfare and development and treating them with respect.

My door is always open, so please feel free to come and see me if you need any assistance.

Vicky
