Indonesia Exchange
Visitors from Indonesia arrived last month and the Indonesian exchange students stayed with our students for a week as part of our Indonesian Department mini exchange program. The visitors went to classes following their buddies.

The Indonesian Department would like to thank everyone for their support, guidance and help towards our Indonesian visitors last month. The Indonesian students had a wonderful time at Huntingtower and they have learnt a lot in your classes. In return, Huntingtower VCE Indonesian will visit their school mid-January next year.
The students said goodbye to their host families this weekend. The visitors are are now staying in the city for another week to explore Victoria. They will visit Melbourne aquarium, Philip island, Sovereign hill and experience snow at Mt Buller.

Year 9 Residential Program
Mt Buller
The Year 9s spent last week enjoying the slopes at Mt Buller for the Alpine Residential Program! The Ski Camp builds on the challenging Year 9 program, enabling students to participate in activities that require mental, physical, and emotional strength. Each day, students participated in ski or snowboard lessons with professional instructors. They then had the opportunity to explore the mountain and enjoy the beginner, intermediate slopes - a fantastic experience.

WRITE A BOOK IN A DAY
On Friday, August 4th, 100 students across Years 7-10 took part in the Write a Book in a Day competition, raising funds for The Kids Cancer Project.
This competition presents students with the challenge of writing a book (complete with illustrations) in a 12 hour period. Throughout the day, our students worked in teams of 6-10 to plan, create, write, illustrate, edit, and assemble a cohesive and engaging story – all for a good cause.
We look forward to sharing our team’s creations with the school community. If you would like to sponsor one of our teams, simply visit this page: https://writeabookinaday.com/school-groups/?id=927
