Achievements

Premiers VCE Awards

On Thursday 27th July 2023, the Premier's VCE Awards were held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event was marked by the commendation of over 300 students across 88 subjects, each distinguished for achieving the highest results in their respective subject area. The successes celebrated at this event are testament to each student's hard work and commitment.

This year, Huntingtower School was honoured to have two of its students receive the Premier's Award. Caitlin C received the award for her outstanding performance in Information and Communications Technology VCE VET, while Lawrence H was awarded for his excellence in Applied Computing: Data Analytics.

We extend our congratulations to Ms Barbara Hender, the dedicated educator who taught both these subjects and skilfully guided Caitlin and Lawrence on their successful academic journeys.

Recognition should also be given to the parents of these students. Their involvement and support underscore the notion that such achievements are a result of a team effort.

VCE Chamber Choir

Eisteddfod PLATINUM AWARD

The Grazioso Chamber Choir (made up of the wonderful VCE students listed below) competed in the Victorian Schools Music Festival this week and received a result of PLATINUM, (Choirs are ranked from Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum). Students performed for other schools and then engaged in a workshop with guest adjudicator, Jodie Spooner-Ryan and were given incredible feedback and advice through this process.

It was an invaluable experience, and it was incredible to share and engage in music making with other schools and the Choral community.

The students work so incredibly hard, so it was wonderful to have received such an outstanding result.

Well done to Jizelle who was chosen as an Edstart Achievement Award Finalist recently:
