Scienceworks Excursion

In Week 5, the Foundation students went on an excursion to Scienceworks.  Students had the best day, full of fun, excitement and learning starting right from a joyous bus ride. On the way, we explored the science behind the circular movement of car wheels and other vehicles on the road. The children were mesmerized by the tall buildings and sang, laughed and clapped while travelling through a tunnel.

We visited the “Think Ahead” area that encourages students to think about the future. In this area, students got the experience of being in a spacecraft, they were involved in the thinking about the future health of cities, the environment, etc. and got to design their own 3D city with vertical gardens and flying car factories.

In line with our Inquiry topic this term, we attended the ‘Toys and Forces Show’ to explore various science concepts including the forces involved in moving the toys from one place to another. This show encouraged students to think about the actions of forces such as push, pull, lift and gravity in the working of different toys.

We are very proud of these little champions, who showed a keen interest in their learning and demonstrated exemplary behavior throughout the day.
