Car Park Reminder

Thank you to our families for remembering to park in the provided car spaces within our carpark. If you have someone else collecting your child/children, please remind them that parking is not permitted on/near the oval.

Another gentle reminder that the Kiss and Go (drive-through) zone is for quick drop-offs in the morning and pick-ups in the afternoon. Should you need to spend longer at school in the morning/afternoon, please park in an allocated bay in the carpark.

A Message from our Senior Teachers

A reminder for devices to be charged and ready to use for the day. We are a BYOD school and all students should have access to a personal device. While there are some available school devices, lately it appears that a greater number of students are relying on school devices which means we are often short which disrupts lessons and learnings.

In senior subjects, we are spending a lot of time researching and also doing some individually paced lessons meaning headphones are essential for students' learning. As we share a lot of our resources amongst classes, it would be very beneficial (and hygienic), for students to have access to their own.

Kmart has a great range starting at just $2.

We'd love our senior families to engage with us on SeeSaw more as we are sharing a higher volume of work on a weekly basis and it is a great way for you to share in your child's learning experience.

We had many incredible indigenous experiences last week as we celebrated NAIDOC Week. One of which was using indigenous artwork to inspire some designs to create our own serpent after listening to the Dreamtime story of The Rainbow Serpent.

Long Absences & Late Arrivals

Just a friendly reminder to please advise the school of student absences at your earliest convenience, either via email or the absence line. When leaving a message on the absence line, please include your name, the students name and classroom, along with the reason for the absence.

If your student arrives at school after the music has stopped playing, they will need to sign in at the office. We are happy to assist you and your children at the office with this.

This prevents us from sending you a clarification text. If you have a senior student please remind them they must come via the office to let us know they have arrived at school.

Extended absences for example holidays during term time need to be communicated with our principal, Mrs. Carrie Rodda. Please email her directly: principal@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
