Changes in Prep.
This term in FBI we have explored Changes… 'Yesterday, today and tomorrow' .
We have all changed and grown since we were born and now are big school kids. Changes are all around us. People and things change all the time. Some changes happen quickly and other changes happen slowly.
Last week we read the story, The Potato People, by Pamela Allen.
We learned three new words from the story and their meanings.
Gradually - If something happens gradually, it happens little by little, slowly over a long time.
Drooped - When something droops, it sinks or hangs down.
Exclaimed - If someone exclaims, they say something loudly in surprise or shock.
We made connections with our prior knowledge about the title and illustration on the front cover. Then we used what we knew to make a prediction about the story.

We will watch them carefully and discover how they change gradually over time.
