Year 1/2

Last week we were very busy getting ready for our Mini Exhibition in our 1/2 space. We were so thrilled to see such a wonderful turn out from our parents, as they joined and listened to us sharing our stories during our yarning circle. 

We individually shared a story and something that we made that reflected our family history and identity. We loved having our parents in the classroom and showing them how hard we have all worked during our Who we are unit. We make sure to start our mornings with a yarning circle, it was an opportunity for us all to show each other respect by listening to each other’s stories and ideas. It is also a time for us to be risk takers and communicators when speaking in front of the class. Yarning circle has been a wonderful experience where we have been able to celebrate our uniqueness and individuality.
