Kindergarten

This term had flown by in Kindergarten. We can’t believe it is halfway through the year already!

We have been busy recapping on all the books we have read this semester in English. Everyone had a range of different stories, however our most popular was ‘Chip’.

In Maths, we have been extending our learning on 10. We used our problem-solving strategies to build a house or fence that could only be done using 10 sticks. We also enjoyed making insects by problem solving and planning all the materials that were needed before heading out to collect them. The insects that we created were amazing!!

We are loving science at the moment and having so many hands-on experiences. We all planned and built something to protect from the weather. The end results were fantastic!

In Dance, we have been learning lots of new moves and enjoying some of our favourite dances. The ‘Hokey Pokey’ is a crowd favourite.

Have a wonderful holiday!

Library/Technology News

The end of another action packed; fun filled term in the Library. The new skills that have been learnt have been amazing by not only the students, but teachers as well!

To finish off the term, Stages 2 and 3 have been re-designing and future proofing a space within our community, e.g. playground, library, sporting field, classroom, using Minecraft Education.

Stage 1 have been busy training/programming the Dash-bots through obstacle courses in preparation for the Dash Olympics!

Kindergarten have been most excited to be unlocking the laptops using the three special keys and their own special login details.

It would be wonderful to see more Stage 2 and 3 students start Term 3 borrowing books. Winter holidays are a great time to start reading that book!!!!
