What's Happening Around SH?

Workshop Wonders - proudly supported by the Tatura Men's Shed

Students have been very busy and have finally completed their first project - bird houses. They look fantastic and you can actually see them in the foyer as you walk past. The next step has been to begin working on their own projects of choice. There are two dog kennels, one flute, one carved car and one mixed-textile penguin. We can not wait to see the finished products next term!

Gorgeous Gardens

Our teams have been working hard at keeping our school neat and tidy and safe too. A few weeks ago, group one helped clean up all the autumn leaves that had fallen onto the footpath out the front of the church and school. They can get slippery in the wet weather, so we thought we’d help keep everyone safe. Students got to use the blower which was new and very exciting! With all the rain last week, group two ventured indoors and focussed on building shelves for the garden shed when it is ready to be put up. They worked very hard to focus on being collaborative and following the instructions. Success! Everyone was very proud of their achievements with both shelves being completed. Finally, we have all been intently watching the chickens in Grade 3/4 hatch. They have gone home with a teacher now so that they can stay warm and be ready for when the chook shed renovations are completed! Well done everyone on a busy few weeks.
