We have had another busy term in Pathways!

Highlights have included our Year 9 Pathways Day for Year 9 Students on 31st May. One of the most powerful parts of the day was our Student Panel. The Pathways Team would like to sincerely thank the senior students who generously gave their time to assist on this panel and answer questions from our keen Year 9 students about their pathway journeys.

National Careers Week was filled with activities for our College community to engage with including Webinars, Guest Speakers and Pathways drop in sessions for both students and staff. The Pathways Team would like to acknowledge Sam and his team at Bakers Delight at Thrift Park for their generous support in providing many edible delights at these breakfast drop in sessions and for hosting a Baker’s Workshop for some of our junior students.

Sincere thanks to Her Honour Judge Amanda Humphreys who convened an interesting and informative panel for senior students considering pursuing law or psychology.

Our Year 10 students are just completing a week’s Work Experience as I write this article. We have had the opportunity to see some of the students out in the field and most of us will remember the skills and learning we had ourselves during Work Experience. A big thank you to the employers who have generously hosted our students again this year. This is very much appreciated.

Our Vocational Major students have also had the opportunity to complete blocks of Work Experience to supplement their learning at TAFE and here at school and to give them a taste of what life beyond school might be like.

We are approaching Course Selection for our current Years 8-11 students and there will be further information regarding this as time moves closer. Please note the important dates for Term 3 which include Course Selection Information Evenings as well as timeline information regarding the submission of course selections for 2024.
