Mathematics News

This year our Mathematics Team are excited to be back onsite. We have completed various diagnostic testing of all students undertaking Mathematical studies. These ‘Diagnostic tests’ are used to inform each Maths Teacher of our students prior knowledge.

As a team of teachers and individually we spend a long time unpacking this data to then plan out how we can best assist our students and the class. We address questions such as - What will they be learning? Where will we start learning? Do we need to split students into groups to better cater for their learning?

Our aim is to set appropriate challenges to maximise the mathematical learning growth of each student. 

We understand Mathematics can be challenging and difficult at times. We encourage students to seek the help of their teacher as we are passionate about learning numeracy.
