We have all had a fantastic time settling in to the new year and getting to know each other.  We have been learning about responsibility, resilience and respect, which are important to help have a classroom were all students feel safe and excited to come to school every day.

Last week saw us return to learning from home, however what I have seen from the students has shown that they are putting into practice what they have learned about responsibility and resilience.

This week in reading we are learning how to make predictions and ask questions about a book using the cover. We used the book The Lost Thing and answered questions such as; ‘What stands out?’ and ‘What is it telling us about the story we are going to read?’ The students really loved this and were able to really pull apart the cover and find very interesting detail to make their predictions from.
