Teaching & Learning  2C

It has been a great start to the year in 2C. We have been reading stories about friendships, getting to know each other and learning how to solve minor problems with our friends. Last week we wrote a narrative about the topic ‘under the sea’. There were lots of interesting stories about sharks, dolphins, shipwrecks and deep-sea divers (just to name a few)! Over the next few weeks we will be focussing on narrative writing and learning how to up-level our stories to improve them.

In numeracy we have been learning about skip counting, recognising different number patterns, using tally marks and making simple graphs. We wondered what colour is the most popular for cars in Langwarrin, so we went out the front of the school to investigate. We watched the cars and each made a tally – white, black and grey seemed to be the most popular colours.
