Cybersafety Information

Last week the 3/4 students were fortunate to receive a visit from Des Hudson to talk to them about how to stay safe online. The students really enjoyed the session and Des shared some very important information. It was great to see that many students already had an understanding of ways that they can keep themselves safe. Here are Des' top 5 Cybersafety hints:

  1. Have 5 trusted adults that you can talk to if you have any concerns. These could be parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, teachers or even the police.
  2. Do not include any personal information in your username or profile.
  3. Only play games or access sites that are age appropriate.
  4. Do not friend or talk to anyone you do not know in person.
  5. If something does not feel right, report it straight away.

Over the remainder of the term, students will be following a series of lessons from the eSafety Commission to help further student understanding about Cybersafety.
