Independent Reading
In Foundation we have been working hard on improving our reading stamina during our independent reading time. We have been learning that there are different ways we can read our books during independent reading time; we can read the words, read the pictures or retell the story. Every day we select a new book to take home. We have been practicing reading these take home books at school.
It would be wonderful if reader satchels, along with take home books and yellow reader diaries are returned to school each day. This ensures that all of our students have access to a wide variety of 'good fit books' readily available to select on a daily basis.

Reminders
- Please drop off and pick up all Foundation students at the external doors to Rooms 1 and Room 3.
- Please pack a pair of clearly named headphones for your child to leave at school, to support their learning when using the iPads.
- Just to clarify, Foundation students do not attend school Wednesdays for the whole of Term 1 except for the last Wednesday of Term, March 31 when they will be attending school and participating in the Athletics Day at Llanberris Reserve.
