Principal Report

Dear families,

I would like to start by thanking you all for the tremendous support and kindness you have shown the staff at school this term. It has been great to get back to our normal routines and to see the hard work and sacrifices we have all put in are paying off.

There are still some things we should continue to keep reminding ourselves and our children to keep doing if we are to continue to keep the normal on track.

  • Following the health and advice from DHHS.
  • Hand washing on a regular basis
  • Physical distancing
  • Being kind ; )

Updates this week from the Acting Premier include the ability to have 100 people in your home and 200 people at school outdoors.

This news has arrived too late for our welcome BBQ (although the weather may have cancelled it anyway), but we can welcome parents back to the end of year assembly on Thursday 1st April @ 12:45pm. We have a limit of a 100 spots. I am not sure we will reach this but to be careful with COVID restrictions we have a booking link.

ADD TRYBOOKING

Assembly

This will focus on saying farewell to Mary Moore as she embarks on her 'rewirement'. Whether you are able to attend in person or you will be at home I am sure you will join me in thanking Mary for her commitment to the children in Rolling Hills over her 14 year journey at the school.

Thank you Mary!

If you would like to attend please register at the link above. If the weather is nice next Thursday we will take the assembly outside to create more room.

Writing

Last week I was lucky enough to take a grade 34K for a writing class. The focus was on persuasive writing. The class was keen to meet Coco. I agreed so long as they could persuade me to bring her to the class. They busily set about trying to write a letter to either persuade me to or not to bring along Coco. I always find that 8/9 year old's have some strong opinions. Check out some of the writing samples below. I think they have earned the class visit.

And finally I would like to wish you all well over the holidays, whether it is a stay-cation at home, a City break, a trip to the country or you are hopping on a plane.....have a great time.

Best wishes,

Craig Bradley
