CAMERATA COMPETITION 

An impressive number of students recently competed in the annual Kinross Wolaroi School Camerata Competition.  The adjudicators, Ms Doreen Cumming and Ms Elina Yasumoto, were impressed with the consistently high standard of the students in the competition. They were full of praise for the manner in which students conducted themselves throughout the competition and struggled to differentiate the eventual winners.  Congratulations to Elizabeth Kwa and Matilda Hayes who were winner and runner up respectively in the senior division. Congratulations also to Toby Gough and Kelvin Tang, joint winners of the junior division, and to Ivy Hawker and William Knight, joint runners up in the junior division.  

Thank you to Ms Katherine Howarth who organised the smooth running of the competition. 

All students who participated in Camerata are invited to perform at the Camerata Concert on Friday 21 May, 2021.  Further details will conveyed to families early in Term 2. 

MUSIC CAMP 

We’re all looking forward to Music Camp this weekend! Year 12 Music Leaders have been working with Music staff to organise a variety of fun activities around a busy rehearsal program.  

A reminder that students should bring sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, any medication required for the day and their instrument(s).  Dress for Music Camp is casual clothes which allow for outdoor activities (including closed shoes). All food is provided for the duration of the camp.

YEAR 7 & 8 OPEN MIC NIGHT 

There are still a couple of places left for any Year 7 or 8 students who would like to play at this event.  Please contact Mr Key, Mrs McRae or Mrs Shields if you’d like to be involved.   

AMEB EXAMINATIONS 2021 

Face-to-face AMEB Examinationswill be occurring this year, from Preliminary Grade through to Certificate of Performance. Examination dates will be between 12 July and 11 August. Further information can be obtained from your child’s instrumental teacher. Entries are due to the school by 30 April 2021. 

IMEB EXAMINATIONS 2021 

IMEB Examination dates have been confirmed for Term 4. The examinations will take place on Friday 5 November for Senior School students and Monday 8 November for Junior School students. Please speak to either Mrs Paix or Mrs Callaghan for further information.
