SSV Futsal Senior Boys Competition

Wednesday 17th March 2021  - Today we played in the Inter School Sports Futsal competition and came out victorious. We played 2 group matches against Sunshine College and St Albans Secondary College, we came out with a solid 7-0 win against sunshine and a close 3-3 draw to St Albans. We were first in our group and went to the semi-final against Copperfield College, we came out with an immaculate win pumping in 7 goals and only conceding 1. 

We then faced St Albans College again in the final, coming out of the semi-final with a great win gave us more confidence and energy to play with high intensity against St Albans resulting in a 4-3 win. The boys put in a great effort and played with heart, especially Michael Stevoski who contributed massively to the team ending the day with 5 goals and 2 assists.”

SSV Futsal Girls Competition

We would like to congratulate the Senior Girls for winning the Keilor Sports Division Futsal tournament. The scores were as follows:

• Round 1: 16-0 victory against Sunshine College
• Round 2: 9-0 victory against Gilson College
• Semi-Finals: 10-0 victory against Copperfield College Delahey.

In the grand final the girls faced Keilor Downs College, it was a hard-fought game by both teams with the scores being 2-2 at full time. In extra time Taylors Lakes score a goal making ii 3-2 becoming the champions of the tournament. 

Thank you to Mr Curmi for coaching the girls to their victory and well done to the senior girls for their amazing effort.
