SOFIA RIPPINGALE (YEAR 9) SINGS TO SUCCESS

Congratulations to Sofia Rippingale (Year 9 Barlow) who was announced as the WINNER of 15 and Under category at the Act Belong Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest Youth Songwriting Competition on Sunday for her original song 'See You Again'. This song was inspired by the experience of being separated from family during COVID-19 and the recent loss of a close friend.

Sofia was honoured to have won her category and is excited to see how much further her recent passion for songwriting will take her.

This year, there were 80 entries in the 15 and Under category.

Prizes for the top four included a recording session, performance spot at the Fairbridge Festival in 2023, mentoring and networking opportunities, a photoshoot, a ticket to WAMCon and a free entry in WA Music's Song of the Year competition.
