Around the Junior School

Year 4 Baking

What a fun way to start the first day of Term 2 and to celebrate ANZAC Day by making biscuits. Students in the Junior School had to research where the tradition of ANZAC biscuits originated. They then followed a recipe (using a few more ingredients than the original biscuits), baked the biscuits and got to enjoy their efforts. There were even some for the teachers’ morning tea.

Pre-kinder

Pre_kinder enjoyed some ANZAC celebrations of their own.

We shared the lovely story ANZAC Biscuits, about a mum and a daughter baking biscuits to send to dad in the trenches.

We got to make our own delicious ANZAC biscuits and enjoy them after lunch. YUM YUM

We ended our group listening to the last post and having a minutes silence to remember the soldiers
