PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Acting Principals Report.

For the first time since 2019, we have completed a full term of school.

That surely deserves a big

Since the beginning of the year, we have hoped that 2022 would be more like ‘the normal’ that we remember, and whilst there has been some disruptions along the way with staff and student absences (due to COVID isolations), we have been lucky enough to have had a pretty smooth Term 1. We have some fun things planned for Term 2, although we will continue to modify events at school as required and in line with the DET Operational Guidelines, as we continue to reinforce COVID safe practices within our school community, fingers crossed that the fun will continue.

RATs

Your child/ren will bring home another box of RATs today as the Department of Education have extended the RAT initiative up until week 4 of Term 2. So please, before returning to school on Tuesday the 26th of April, make sure each child has been tested and has a negative RAT result. Again, thanks to every one of you that have been so diligent with this tedious testing regime. It is thanks to you, term 1 at Echuca East Primary School has run so smoothly!

School Photos

It was great to have our school photos taken yesterday. Just a reminder that there will be a catch-up session Friday the 29th of April (week 1 of next term) for those students who were away.  Our Grade 6 Photo and our whole school photo will be taken later in the year, when hopefully we have more students COVID free and at school.

School Council

We recently held our School Council AGM and after the recent call for nominations I welcome our 2022 School Council members:

On that note, I wish all of our Eastie families a wonderful holiday and a safe and fun filled Easter break. I look forward to seeing you all back here day 1 of Term 2.
