Student Voice Team 2022
This week, we welcomed some new members into our Student Voice Action Group. We are using Student Voice to make a stronger Respectful Relationships community at St Brendan’s and this starts with the students. I am looking forward to working with Molly, Arneis, Jelena, Khya, Matilda, Mason, Gracie, Eva, Milla, Tilly, Mia, Caitlin, Brydie, Lyla, Amelia and Alba to listen to and learn about different perspectives about their lives at St Brendan’s. We spoke about things we hear in the yard, things we experience outside of school and our perspectives of how we feel at school. We also talked about being Upstanders and doing something about the things we don’t agree with - we will continue to explore this when we meet on Thursdays. It’s my favourite part of the week, listening to young people that are trying their best to make a positive difference in their school community. Watch this space!
Teacher appreciation!
I would like to give a huge shout out to the amazing teachers at St Brendan’s, it’s been a busy and sometimes challenging term back after a very tumultous 2 years. No matter what is happening in their personal lives, the teachers always turn up with a smile and a positive energy to teach these wonderful students. I hope everybody has a wonderful holiday break and a beautiful Easter with your family and friends!
Thanks so much,
Tess Haddock
