Every Child Known, Encouraged, Challenged and Supported
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s,
It is with a great sense of satisfaction and pride that I reflect on the first term of the 2022 school year. For the first time in two years, we have been open and able to welcome your children into our school each day. No lockdowns and no remote learning!
The children are adjusting well to the rigours of attending school five days per week. Please remember that this has taken vast amounts of energy on their part and they are all ready for a well earned break. I hope they have plenty of ‘downtime’ over the holidays to rest, relax and reset for the new school term.
I would like to thank most sincerely the dedicated staff of St Brendan’s school for their energy, professionalism and commitment to the education of all children in our school. It has been wonderful to have parents in our playground again. Please keep coming.
I would like to thank you all for your support and involvement in our school.
This term, we have enjoyed:
This Thursday, we will celebrate our Japanese Cultural Day.
As we move towards the holidays, it is important to remember that we also move into the final week of Lent. This week is known as Holy Week; the most sacred week in the lives of Catholic Christians. During this week, we reflect on the journey Jesus made to his arrest, persecution and death. We remember also his glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. We are grateful for his ultimate sacrifice for all humankind. I think it is timely to look at at our own life journeys and to ask ourselves, what can I let die in my life, and how can I rise to a new and more loving and generous way of living in the new Easter season?
I wish all children, their families and our staff the most wonderful, joyful, safe and relaxing Easter break. I look forward to welcoming you all back on Tuesday 26th April.

School Open Sessions
Parents and carers, please remember that EVERY DAY AT SCHOOL COUNTS!
With so much time away from school in the past two years, it is essential that your children are at school to maximise their learning opportunities.
