Building and Grounds News

New Library furniture

The new Library furniture has arrived.  Thanks to Woods furniture, we are highlighting the indigenous connection to land, including the new Murrup (Spiritual Connection) design. This artwork was a collaboration between the artist Steven Bekue, Woods Furniture and CSPS.

New substation

There is a new substation now positioned on Pearcedale Road, next to the General Store. This has been installed to fully power the school.  This area of property is now overseen by the power authorities and thus is an open fenced area for easier access.

You may have noticed an increase of tradespeople at the Capital Works site.  You are very observant as there are plasterers, builders, carpenters, plumbers, landscapers, painters, tilers and electricians to just name a few.

As such, we are aware that parking is at a premium.  Please be assured that the tradespeople park in the compound when available (to access their vehicle/tools) or park further away from the school and walk.

The Certificate of Occupancy of the new building will be by Monday 20th June.  We will be busy moving in during the last week of Term 2.  If you would like to assist in in anyway, including packing and decanting of the main building please contact Karen Halket or Brendan Corcoran. for further information.

Demolition of the existing Administration Building will occur in the first week of the Term 2 holidays.  As this buildings contains traces of Asbestos, additional care is taken in this process.  More information to follow.
