PLAYGROUND IN BOYD PARK

Glen Eira City Council are currently seeking feedback on the concept design for an upgraded playground at Boyd Park.

A concept design has been developed as a recommendation from the Outer Circle Railway Management Plan 2019, which highlighted the need for an upgrade to the playground and an expansion to introduce nature play space and additional elements for intergenerational use.

The concept design has been developed which incorporates an expansion of the existing play equipment, the inclusion of all abilities access elements, nature play and intergenerational play equipment.

Additional social facilities have also been introduced, including an automated public toilet to the north of the playground.

The Glen Eira Council is seeking community engagement and inviting parents to complete the survey on their Have Your Say webpage. The ‘Have Your Say’ community engagement is open until Sunday 17 April.

To kick start the 2022 football season, we’re excited to announce that we will be hosting 2 FREE Footy 4 Fun Events over the next 2 Friday evenings at RSEA Park in Moorabbin.

Friday 1 April – Junior Girls Footy 4 Fun Event

5:30 – 7pm @ RSEA Park

Who can attend? Girls aged 5-14 (girls who are 4, turning 5, in 2022 are welcome also)

Friday 8 April – Auskick Carnival Footy 4 Fun Event

5:30 – 7pm @ RSEA Park

Who can attend? 5-12 year old kids (kids who are 4, turning 5, in 2022 are welcome also)

Both events will have St Kilda inflatables as well as experienced AFL Vic coaches to run through plenty of drills, activities and modified games!
