Shanille and Jordy share their insights at annual gala in Melbourne

Two Follow the Dream Year 9 students, Shanille Brayon and Jordy Moreton (and Shanille's mother Sonya) attended the Mazda Foundation's annual gala dinner in Melbourne to which representatives from Mazda dealerships as well as benefactors to the Mazda Foundation are invited.

The girls who are from Hermannsburg (Ntaria) and board at St Philip's College had a tumultuous trip with delayed flights and lost luggage! Many thanks to the generosity of the Mazda Foundation who helped to overcome missing clothes through a visit to the shopping mall.

The event was an opportunity for the girls to share their insights and experience of being part of Follow The Dream to the gala audience of 650 people.  After the event the girls were able to visit sites in Melbourne and see the West Coast Eagles defeat Collingwood.

Mazda Foundation have been partners with Polly Farmer Foundation and the Australian Government through the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) in setting up St Philip's Follow The Dream since July 2020.
