For their first unit of study, students experimented with a range of mark making techniques, art elements, principles and materials to produce abstract compositions. They learnt in particular about the artistic practices of Wassily Kandinsky and similar to him, used music to inspire their work. Here are some examples of their wonderful final presentations.

Wonderful student artworks created during term 1 have been displayed around the school. Including year 8 still life drawings, year 9 Jim Dine inspired hearts & year 9 Henri Matisse inspired painted interiors.
