Book borrowing

To ensure your child does not miss out on book changing, please ensure they bring their home reader bag every Thursday with all books and their filled-in school diary.

iPads

We have been very impressed with all students caring for and bringing their iPads each day fully charged. Please continue to support your child to bring their iPad each day with full charge.

Home Learning

We strongly encourage all students to continue their wonderful work with home learning practise each night. Students have access to video support for their Phonics and High Frequency Words on Seesaw and should be engaging with them each night. Furthermore, students are encouraged to read with an adult each night.

If you require any resources or support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's classroom teacher.

Excursions

This term we are excited to take part in our first excursions for the year. Students will be taking part in a Community Walk and adventure to the National Gallery of Victoria. In the coming weeks you will receive consent forms via Compass in addition to further information via email. We ask that you kindly take the time to read all communication carefully and complete any required consent in a timely manner. This will ensure that the events run smoothly and we are able to support with any questions or concerns prior to the day. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the lead up please do not hesitate to reach out to Miss Mak directly via email makayla.bulte@southmelbourneps.vic.edu.au

Parent Volunteers

With many exciting events this term we are seeking support from our parent community. With two excursions occurring this term as well as our balcony project group, we are looking for any parents who may be able to support in any capacity. Even if that is 30 minutes every day before pick up time.

In order to run any excursion safely we do require a minimum of 6 parent helpers to support throughout the day. If this is something you can support with, please contact Miss Mak directly via email makayla.bulte@smps.vic.edu.au for further information on how you may be able to help.
