Revision Program Examinations and Assessments for Years 10 - 12

Congratulations to all of our Unit 3/4 students for their positive approach and application in the General Achievement Test (GAT) last week. These students have also been completing trial examinations over the second week of the holidays and the first two weeks back on campus. These trial exams are designed to provide practice in exam skills and most importantly enable students to receive targeted feedback. Students should ensure that they use this feedback now as they continue their final preparations for the VCAA examinations.

Unit 3/4 classes conclude on Tuesday 19 October. Students have a flexible, individual study day on Wednesday 20 October and then we have planned an intensive two-day revision class/tutorial program. There will be a 100-minute revision session for each subject over the two days, Thursday 21 October – Friday 22 October. All Unit 3/4 students are very strongly recommended to attend these sessions to optimise exam preparation with the support of their teachers, in a year where face-to-face contact has been limited.

The VCAA examination period for our Year 12s, and other students studying Unit 3/4 Studies, commences on Wednesday 27 October.

For Year 11 students, Marian Semester 2 Examinations will commence on Thursday 11 November and conclude on Wednesday 17 November. Even though all of our students have experienced a disrupted year, it is still important that students prepare diligently for these examinations to assist their preparation for Year 12 into 2022. The timetable will be published on the SEQTA Examination Information Portal Page for students and parents.  A letter providing all details will be distributed shortly.

Because of the later return to fulltime onsite learning, our Year 10 students will not have a complete examination block this semester. It is important that they maximise face-to-face time with their teachers on their return to the College. There will only be two blocked examinations in Mathematics and English on 17 and 18 November.
