Senior School Exams
The VCAA written exams started with our Year 12 students sitting the English exam on Wednesday 27 October. For some students, their VCAA exams started a couple of weeks prior with the VCE language oral exams and the VET Music performance exam. As the college is a VCAA exam centre, we conducted exams at the college in 100-Block up until today when the Media exam concluded the assessments for our students.
Year 11 students and Year 10 students studying a VCE Unit 2 study have been completing their Semester two exams this week. The exams were prepared by teachers to resemble the rigour of VCAA Units 3 and 4 exams which to provides our students with invaluable experience and preparation for 2022. Our Year 10 students will also complete Semester two English and Maths exams on Friday 12 November.
The Senior School is extremely proud of our students for their efforts preparing for and completing their exams.
Head Start Program
The Head Start Program will commenced today for our 2021 Year 10 and Year 11 students who will be studying Year 11 and 12 respectively in 2022. This program enables our students to start their 2022 VCE or VCAL studies to make early progress and to ensure that the students are aware of their subjects’ demands and expectations. Teachers have done a tremendous job developing best practice programs and resources to ensure students have the opportunity to develop key skills for each of the studies and have set homework to be completed by the start of the 2022 school year. We recommend students schedule time for the completion of these tasks whilst still allowing for an extended refreshing break after such a challenging year.
Year 12 Celebration Day
The date for the Year 12 VCE and VCAL students to celebrate the completion of their exams and studies is Thursday 18 November. Year 12 students will attend school on the day for a special brunch starting at 9.30am, followed by an assembly to celebrate the 'Class of 2021' successful end to their thirteen years of schooling. Following the assembly the students will have an opportunity to spend time together and say their farewells. All Year 12 students must attend in full school summer uniform and observe the COVID safe requirements whilst on site.
Year 12 2022 Jacket
Current Year 11 students are able to purchase their Year 12 Jacket for 2022 with payments due by Wednesday, 15 December 2021. no late payments will be accepted.

Year 12 Residential Study Camp 2022
The Year 12 Study Camp- The Residential- will be held at Ormond College, University of Melbourne from Monday 7 February 2022 to Tuesday 8 February 2022. It is expected that all 2022 Year 12 VCE and VCAL students will attend. The program for the Residential will contain workshops and activities for students to prepare for and to manage their final year of secondary school. This will include Year 12 knowledge and skill development, presentations by expert presenters, wellbeing goal-setting and time management sessions, and tertiary course/career planning.
The Residential consent form and payment need to be finalised and returned to the college prior to Friday 10 December 2021. Consent and payment can be provided online through the college's parent portal https://scoresbysc-vic.compass.education.
