If you are a regular reader of the Score you will have noticed that we acknowledge students who have achieved 100% for each term/semester/year. As the year 12 have now completed their classes we can acknowledge the students who attended every school day for the year.

Aloys Duhamel, Caitlyn Tilley and Evan Zhou should receive extra congratulations as they have not missed a school day in the last two years. This is a fantastic effort and displays great commitment to their education.

Attendance at school has many benefits – academically, socially, physically and emotionally. For these students and the many others that we very close to 100% attendance displays a commitment to their education. It is also a great to show potential employers this commitment and work ethic. Well done!

We are in the process of finalising the details of Orion Night for 2021. With restrictions easing we are hopeful that a ceremony will go ahead. We feel that it is very important to celebrate and acknowledge our students a through some form of ceremony. More information will be provided soon.

Devices for 2022
At Scoresby Secondary College all students are required to have their own device (iPad or Notebook computer) as a basic tool for learning. As of 2022, students in Year 7 will be required to have a Notebook computer, with students in Years 8 and 9 will have the option to continue using their iPad. Students in Years 10-12 will continue be able to select a device that is appropriate to their learning needs (iPad, Notebook or Macbook).
Our aim is to make the process of your child owning a device as simple as possible for you. We have partnered with JB Education in negotiating a Portal arrangement. We have developed a variety of options for you to be able to select from to suit the needs of your child. We highly recommend the Lenovo 3 Year Accidental Damage Protection or Apple Care+ packages.

2. Technician support is limited to only assisting students whilst they load the settings required to the College wireless network and internet access.
3. The College technicians cannot fix hardware or some software issues for these devices.
4. Minimum specifications.
a. Windows Machine - Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, battery life of more than 6 hours, running Windows 10 or greater
b. Apple Mac running OS 10.14 or higher
