Jump Rope for Heart

The Year 8 Health & Physical Education class has been participating in Jump Rope for Heart. They have put in many hours of jumping and have worked hard in their fundraising efforts. This week at assembly they competed their 'jump off' and successfully performed one of the tricks that they have been working on, the jumping triangle! We have had lots of fun as a class getting into skipping and are pleased to be able to fundraise for The Australian Heart Foundation.

Fast 5 Netball

At the end of last term a group of year nine and ten students attended a MNSEC mixed netball tournament held in the Gladstone High School gym and outside courts. The group of students were split into two teams and played in two separate “pools”. The team in pool A performed well coming third overall and the team in pool B finished fifth. Both teams put in a tremendous amount of effort, and everyone enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to going again next year.

Tag Rugby Clinic

This week Dave and Alan from NRL South Australia came to deliver Tag Rugby coaching clinics to our year 8 students, along with the year 6 and 7 students from St Joseph's School and Peterborough Primary School. It was a glorious day, the students participated well and learnt lots of new skills and all about the game.
