Grade 1T and grade 1/2D have responded to the text Suri's Wall by creating drawings on book pages - depicting scenes from the text. They are now painting blocks to create a wall art piece. This will be installed soon.

The grade 2/3 and 3/4's have completed their window collages and they look amazing!! such detail and beautiful use of colour. These will be on display soon to also check out!

They are now beginning to paint a window scene from the text - within the art room.

The grade 5/6 classes have begun their matchbox diaries and these are stunning! Their plans highlight their own identity and what inspires them - their heritage, dreams and interests.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN STEAM.

Term one is all about coding.  The senior and middle students are coding on the computers using code.org.  Our junior students are learning about coding through lessons in the classroom.  We have talked about parts of the computer and what coding is.  We have developed our own algorithms using pictures and words.  We have used lego blocks and developed a series of photographs to follow.  Students have learnt about how to take a good photograph and will make their own pictorial algorithm.
