This fortnight in PE....Cross Country Training

All parents and carers would have received an email from Mr Batt on Thursday afternoon with details about the House Cross Country on Wednesday 3rd April. This is a whole school event at Koonung Creek Reserve (Kosciusko Rd) from 12.30 - 3.00pm. All students have started to take part in training during PE at the beginning of each session, but we really encourage students and families to practice outside of regular school hours. Some ideas include:

- Attending Fitness Club on Wednesday mornings at Leigh Park from 8.15 - 8.45am

- Heading to your local oval/park to practice after school or on weekends

- Teaching your child the difference between jogging and running

A reminder that these are the distances students need to travel at the Cross Country:

Foundation - 500m

Year 1 - 750m

Year 2 - 1km

9/10 Yr Olds (age child turns in 2019) - 2km (please note that Year 3s who turn 8 yrs old in 2019 will also compete in this event)

11/12/13 Yr Olds (age child turns in 2019) - 3km
