Junior School Coucil

Junior School Council

The 2019 Junior School Council (JSC) met for the first time last week. This meeting consisted of three important parts:

  • Welcome to all Councillors
  • JSC Expectations and Code of Conduct
  • Discussion and feedback for the draft plans for the redevelopment of the BPPS bottom oval

It was a great meeting with much participation from all!

Free Dress Day Wednesday 27th March

Cultural Theme - Bring a gold coin!

JSC would like to announce their first fundraiser for the year:

What:   Free Dress Day with a Cultural Theme - Bring a Gold Coin!

When:   Wednesday 27th March

Why:      To raise the funds needed for our

BPPS World Vision  Sponsored Child, Teresia.

For those who are unfamiliar, Teresia lives in Lower Yatta, Kenya, is now 12 years old and is studying grade eight at primary school.

Her educational programs (which our sponsorship helps to pay for) have included:

  • Learning about the dangers of drinking unsafe water and how to keep her community’s water sources clean
  • Learning about child protection concerns around her school and how to stay safe
  • Working with her friends to make her community a better place for children

A photo of Teresia, along with a personal letter that tells a little bit about herself and her family, can be found on the JSC board in the corridor outside the Library. Please feel free to familiarise yourselves.

Thanks in advance from the Junior School Council for your support of this important fundraiser.
