Music Department Update

We would like to welcome Tabea Sitte to the Music Department. Tabea will be teaching Violin and Viola at the College.

Tabea has had a very successful career as a performer. Below is a snapshot of some of Tabea’s accomplishments and journey:

  • Tabea was born in Germany, however, raised in the UK before studying Violin Performance and Pedagogy in London and New York
  • She has been teaching and performing for over 15 years now in Scotland, London, Berlin, New York, and Australia
  • You may have seen Tabea perform the Vivaldi Four Season Concertos in the Brisbane Candlelight Concerts last year or perhaps you went to watch “A Christmas Carol” at QPAC last summer, where Tabea was the solo Violinist on stage
  • She is one of the lead Violinists in the new “Elvis” movie by Baz Luhrmann coming out in June this year
  • She has appeared on SBS and Channel 7 with various local artists

Tabea has lived in Brisbane for the last three years, and she is very much looking forward to joining our Clayfield College Music Staff.
