Clayfield College School Council

Clayfield College welcomes and congratulates Jamie Sutherland and Steve Wilkins on their appointment to the Clayfield College Council.  As current parents they are both long term passionate advocates and supporters of the College and look forward to joining the other members of the Council as together we light it up and let our light shine. 

 

Both Jamie and Steve along with the Clayfield College Council Chair Catherine O’Sullivan are looking forward to attending the P&F Welcome evening tomorrow night. This is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the commencement of another wonderful year at Clayfield.

Jamie Sutherland is a leading business strategist in the travel industry. As the Global Lead Distribution for the Flight Centre Travel Group, Jamie is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of building strong business partnerships and executing strategies working in the leisure, travel, tourism and airline industry. 

 

Committed to giving back to the communities, Jamie values and supports initiatives that benefit the community.

 

Jamie's professional accomplishments include;

  • Achieved key milestones in FCTG's distribution strategy 
  • Implemented low cost carrier strategy for FCTG 
  • Designed product strategy for new business unit Student Universe. com 
  • Significant profit increase and new commercial models designed and implemented for key profit engine of business 

Jamie is a current parent with Milli in Year 9 and Claudia, who graduated last year. Jamie is excited to join the Clayfield College Council and support the school's ongoing success.

 

 

Steve Wilkins

Steve Wilkins has over 25 years of experience in senior management roles on mixed enterprise properties throughout Queensland and New South Wales. 

 

Steve is the current General Manager of Aminya Pastoral, which operates nine properties from Aramac in Central Western Qld to Glen Innes in Northern NSW. The business has diverse enterprises consisting of beef cattle breeding and trading, Merino sheep breeding and broadacre dryland farming.

 

Steve is a strong advocate for rural and regional Australia and has an in-depth understanding of the issues those living and working remotely face.

 

Steve is a current parent with Skye in Year 7, Chloe in Year 11 and Ella in Year 12 and very much looks forward to joining the Clayfield College Council.
