Purple Group 

Last week in Purple Group the children participated in a spontaneous activity as one of the children was excited to share how they saw a butterfly over the weekend. Educators lead a discussion around their experience and knowledge of butterflies. We then extended this and created our own butterfly reflection paintings. 

As a large group the educator demonstrated how to paint on half the paper then fold it over to create a reflection on the other side, every child made at least 1 butterfly and most children made several. The beautiful butterflies are now displayed all around our kindergarten room.
