Maths - It’s Holiday Time
In Maths we have been learning to add and subtract large numbers using the vertical algorithm and to convert between 12 and 24 hour time. We practiced these skills in our It’s Holiday Time activity where we planned an Australian holiday for our families with a budget of $5000.00.

Human Dignity and Slavery Free Easter - Religion
In Religion we have been learning about Human Dignity and linking it to having a Slavery Free Easter through product certifications like Fairtrade, UTZ, Rainforest Alliance and Australian Made. These certifications pay farmers and growers fair wages for their products as well as helping them with education, farming techniques and services that support their communities.
As part of our learning for Religion and Business and Economics, we visited the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.
Yarra Valley Chocolaterie Excursion
On Monday we went to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. We learnt how chocolate was sustainably produced and we also learned how they paid their farmers in a fair way. We made chocolate lollipops , taste tested lots of chocolate and even bought chocolates. I guess we can say this was the BEST EXERCURSION EVER!!! Cristiano
What I liked was when we went to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie on Monday 7.3.22. We learnt about a new industry that helps people like farmers who give them the chocolate powder and other ingredients to make chocolate. We also learnt how they make the chocolate and how they make different types of chocolate, for example to make white chocolate they don't pop the coco powder in it. We also made massive lollipops. Overall it was a handy and exciting experience to have. Tiffany
