We still require Class Representatives for each classroom except Prep PR.  The sign-up sheet is in the office foyer.  If you would like to volunteer, but unable to come into school, please call the office and they will note your name on the sign-up sheet.

Below is a description of the Class Representative role:

Every class at Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School has two parent class representative positions. We are asking parents to please volunteer for the role.  The class representative role is very important to our school community.  It provides support to the teachers and acts as a liaison between teachers and parents in the school.

The role of class representatives:

  • Be supportive of staff and the whole school ethos.
  • Invite parents to include their contact details (ask parents their preferred form of communication) for communication of class messages and events etc.
  • Contact new families on arrival and personally welcome them to the school community.
  • To organise opportunities for the parents in your child’s class to meet socially and help them get to the know each other.  Events might include family picnic or parent’s dinner.
  • Class representatives, and other class helpers, are respectful of everyone’s privacy and ensure that the confidentiality of teachers, students and parents is maintained at all times.

HOT DOG DAY

We will be holding a hot dog day on Wednesday 23rd March.  A form will be sent home next week.  $5 will include a donut for morning snack and a hot dog at lunch.  Please return payment, in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class, to the office by Tuesday 22nd March. Alternatively you can make a payment via CDFpay using the QR code.

If you are able to assist on the day, please return the slip at the bottom of the hot dog form.

If you are able to assist, all of our volunteers are required to be double vaccinated and hold a current Working With Children's Check and to have signed the COHR Child Safety Code of Conduct.

EASTER RAFFLE/GUESS A JAR

We will be holding a raffle with Easter hampers over the last two weeks of term.  A booklet of five raffle tickets will be sent home to each family next week.  Tickets are $1 each.  If you would like more tickets, they can be purchased in the courtyard before and after school commencing Monday 21st March.

We will also have a “Guess A Jar” where children can guess how many Easter eggs are in the jar.  50c for one guess.  This will take place in the courtyard before and after school.

The raffle will be drawn on Tuesday 5th April along with the winner of the “Guess A Jar”.

Thank you to the Saraullo family for donating the raffle prizes.
