Year 7 Camp

Alexandra Adventure Resort

On March 23rd 2022, 142 Year 7 students travelled to  Alexandra Adventure Resort. After the year that was 2020/21 it was great to feel a sense of excitement amongst the Year 7s Wednesday morning.

The weather god’s certainly prevailed with very nice sunny days during the week which fostered students had the opportunity to form new friendships and get to know other students across the Year 7 cohort, but most importantly have fun making unforgettable memories as they begin their first year of high school together.

Students had three jam packed days with several different outdoor activities, including archery, high ropes, abseiling, rock climbing, flying fox and the Giant swing.

Thank you to all the Junior School staff for their work in organising and running a successful camp.

Year 7 camp was great and enjoyable because, the activities were super fun to do and have a go at. I especially loved the flying fox because it would go across a river, and you could see the nice view. It was also great getting to know my classmates and other students more. Also, I loved the night walk because we got to look and listen to the beautiful nature around us. Thanks again for the experience.

Our recent year 7 camp at Alexandra Adventure Resort was an exhilarating experience that I’ll never forget! Each day brought us new and enticing adventure that aided us to face our fears whilst having a wonderful time.

The teachers entertained us with a fantastic trivia night which was a magnificent way to begin the camp. They also provided us with an amazing movie night with snacks and popcorn which was a brilliant way to end the camp.

This camp brought us all closer together and it will definitely have a lasting memory, throughout our high school journey.
