SSV Swimming Results - Well done to our Swim Team!
The TLSC swim team had a successful day at Oak Park on Friday 11th March. The team comprised of first place winners from our Swimming Carnival, the squad showed no fear against the Division’s elite talent. Our students achieved great success in their individual events. We are thrilled about Ciara’s flawless performances, placing first in all of her 5 events. Thank you Mr Hunter and
Miss McInerney for supporting the team.
SSV Volleyball Senior Boys and Girls - Great Fun for All
Mr Kozak would like to give a big thank you to the TL senior volley ball players, Mr. Chan and the wonderful year 9 helpers. Both teams competed in three rounds of high stakes competition, putting out incredible effort and sportsmanship. Unfortunately, our senior girls lost all three rounds, but they showed significant development in their second and third games. Our senior boys, on the other hand, reached the finals and demonstrated outstanding collaboration across all three rounds. Well done! -

SSV Tennis - Senior and Intermediate Boys and Girls - Great Success!
A big thank you and congratulations to all our Taylors Lakes players and helpers. We have always had the pleasure of hosting the Division’s Tennis competitions throughout the years. Over the last few years, our school has had an abundance of tennis talent and this year proved to be no different. Our Senior Boys had a tough but lengthy campaign all the way through to the finals, however were unsuccessful against their Vic Uni opponents. The Senior Girls team nonetheless blew their competition away with flawless victories. Leyla, Liana, Erika, Kate and Eva will now go on to represent the College at the Regional Championships in a few weeks’ time. Big shout out to Nuu and Keegan for playing their first ever game of competition tennis doubles.
SSV Cricket Senior Boys/Mixed - Valiant Effort!
Thanks to Daksh’s passion for cricket, he and Mr. O’Leary had assembled a formidable squad of Taylors Lakes cricket elites. The draw was a competitive round robin between ourselves, Harvester and Sunshine. Hats off to Ava for representing with the boys and achieving a few catches and wickets. Harvester were the overall victors with both their games won. Best of luck to them representing our Division at Regionals round next week.
Years 7/8 Soccer
On Tuesday the 29th of March, the year girls from year 7 & 8 went out to compete against other year 8 students in our area in soccer.
In our group round we played Springside west and Copperfield Sydenham. We won both games scoring 11-1 against Springside and 5-3 against Sydenham. With hat-tricks going to Ilhana Cedic (within the first 5 minutes of the game), Isabel Rivera-Alibrio and Mikayla Stojanovski.
We then faced Keilor Downs College in the finals, but our only substitute was injured so everyone needed to play the full game. All of the girls dug deep and managed to come back from 0-2 down to get to 3-2. But unfortunately Keilor Downs College managed to score 2 quick goals to win the match 3-4.
Congratulations to all the girls that played in the team. You all fought hard and we only just missed out on making the next round. I want to give a particular shout out to Eva Ristovski, Isabel Rivera-Alibrio, Liliana Marin and Nicoletta Marin. The 4 of you ran hard and kept us competitive in the final when we were all tired.
