JOSH BURNS VISIT

Ivy

On Friday the 7th of March the Federal Representative for MacNamara , Josh Burns came to our school to hand out badges and officially welcome us (Council/Captains/etc.) as leaders of Ripponlea Primary School.

Everyone was thrilled to see Mr. Burns and the badge ceremony was amazing and we all had fun and finally stepped up to our leadership roles. We would like to thank Josh Burns for coming to our little school.

Elena

Josh talked about what leadership is and what you need to make sure you do to be a leader. After the assembly Josh took some photos with us and even talked to us personally.

It was a very special day for everyone and thank you to Josh Burns for coming in to our fantastic little school.

STAND AGAINT BULLYING

Jazy

The 18th of March is the international day of action against bullying and violence. You can bring a gold coin if you wear orange to school on the day. The donations will be split between the Alannah & Madeline Foundation and Dolly's Dream. The money we get on that day will go towards these good causes which help with bullying.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Eve

On the 8th of March we celebrated International Women's Day and we asked everybody to come wearing a little bit of purple. Some people even went crazy and wore heaps of purple! All teachers were given an activity pack which they completed during their class time.

HOUSE ACTIVITIES

Archie

Last Wednesday we had a house soccer tournament with lots of participation and was quite successful. We will be doing more soccer this and next week. After that we will be doing other sports.

Lenny

For three weeks all houses will be versing each other for the top of the ladder for a prize. We will be rotating over sports every three weeks. Like netball, basketball etc. We're hoping that we can get all Year 3-6 students involved to have a great time. Have Fun!
