Principal's Report

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

Yesterday you should have received a letter from me regarding a positive COVID case on site. (Please contact the office if you did not receive this.) We are very fortunate that we have managed to get this far into 2022 without any cases. Again I would like to thank you for your support in keeping our community well. This was a good reminder of the importance of wearing masks, sanitising and distancing. Also, a reminder that parents need to notify the school if a child has tested positive.

Any further communication necessary for other positive cases will be sent via email with a letter attached.

A reminder to our Foundation parents that we are looking forward to having your child on site all week following the Public Holiday on Monday!

Covid Restriction Reminders

  • Students in Years 3-6 to wear masks indoors.
  • Close contacts to test and isolate for seven days.
  • The school will notify if a staff member or student has tested positive.
  • Masks, distancing, sanitising and cleaning protocols to continue to be followed, including parents.
  • Parents are able to come on-site outdoors, or to the front office for first aid, drop off lunch boxes etc.
  • Parents entering classrooms need to have vaccination certificates available.
  • Parents to notify the school if a child has tested positive.

Staffing Updates

It is with pleasure that I share with you all that Whitney Iaria will be joining our staff as the Finance Officer from Term Two until the end of the year, whilst Taryn Bromilow is on leave. Whitney is the mother of Hunter, Foundation and Jackson, Year Two, and comes to us well qualified in this area.

Student Absences

Thank you to those parents who continue to notify the school of absences, and returning text messages when contacted by the school. Often an easy thing to slip by when sick children are involved!

You can notify of absences by 9 am via:

  • PAM
  • Phone Call
  • Email front office and/or class teachers

Tuning in to Kids - Free program

Quercus will be running a tuning into kids program starting 15th March. This is a great opportunity for families for emotional coaching and manage strong emotions in your children. The program will be very informal and relaxed.
