2022 Staff Professional Development 

In 2022, PHS staff have been involved in a rigorous professional development schedule. On Wednesday we have focused on improving student outcomes for Literacy and Numeracy. In particular; Before, During and After reading strategies and the Big Idea in Number. 

We have been developing teaching sprints to develop our pedagogies to improve student outcomes based on data in Reading Strategies. We also have introduced a staff induction programs to support new staff on Tuesday afternoon which will continue for the whole year. 

Staff have also sort their own Professional Development outside of work hours which includes but not limited to; Instructional Leadership (Teaching and Learning), Instruction Coaching, Berry Street Education Model, and a Graduate Certificate - Counselling vulnerable young people, through Flinders University.
